Mexican Wedding Cookies-Russian Tea Cookies-Snowballs-English Pecan Cakes;
I don't care what you call them, I call them easy and delicious!
1 cup REAL butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1 cup crushed pecans or walnuts
1/2 tsp of salt
Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla. Gently mix in flour, salt, and pecans. Roll into 1'' balls and place 2" apart on parchment lined cookie sheets. Put in a 275 degree oven for 40 minutes and then cool. Roll in powdered sugar! Don't eat the whole tray....that would be uncouth. (Though not unheard of.) These lovely little butter cookies are a great addition to any cookie tray. Russian tea Cakes are also VERY yum with a delightful cup of coffee.
So, this morning I had a lovely plate of scrambled eggs and my usual lot of Rx's (prenatal-iron pill-M.O.M) I decided to rest my little 7'' plate on my belly, which is the most convenient part of pregnancy.....a place to rest crap. My plate started to rock, back and forth, back and forth, If I would have stayed watching it, instead of eating my eggs, I would have made myself ill, instead of full. I feel like I should be playing "Guess the body part", that seems to be poking through me.
I feel as though you aren't adequately warned about the WACKO things that happen to your body when you are pregnant. Like the "Ellen Ripley" effect. That and the fact that you can't enjoy and delicious bi-valves. I miss mussels. I REALLY miss mussels. And wine. And sushi. And lox. Cold fish in general. The end result had better be PRETTY DARN COOL. Since he is going to look NOTHING like me, I have decided that I am going to dress him like me....HELLO....Crib Rock Couture. Since people are going to think I adopted anyway...may as well dress him like Maddox Jolie Pitt. (That munchkin has some style) Well, I am off to the Tar-szhay to get boxes to wrap my presents!!!!!!! Yay for Mxyplyzyk.
